Newburyport Press has 3 folders which will handle paper sizes up to 28 x 40" We can fold signatures for a book, catalog or your brochure to fit a display rack.

Baum 444 has 1 straight and 2 right angle attachments. It can start with paper 28 x 40" and fold to a 16 page booklet. Other uses include map folds, posters or 32 page booklets. Several different folded signatures can be assembled to create a typical book with many pages.

Stahl 44 plus knife handles sheets up to 20 x 26" and longer. Stahl 44 can also fold to sizes as small as 3 x 4". Performs letter folds, gate and double gate folds with its knife fold attachment.

Baum Table Top letter folds plus folding flaps shut on some envelopes.

Book Binding

The Omega Binder gathers folded signatures, assembling them to make multi-page books and adds the cover. Then it staples the spine and trims 3 edges to finish the book. This machine has a cover feeder to score and fold the cover plus 6 automatic pockets. Two manual feed pockets are used for synthesizing saddle stitched booklets, from 8 to 128 pages in a single pass from 16 page signatures.

Perfect Binder (paper back books) • This machine glues all page fold edges and attaches a cover. The book can be upward of 600 pages if needed. This machine gathers, staples and trims up to 8 signatures, plus covers into a finished catalog.

Hardbound and Smyth sewing is available from outside sources.

Cutting

The Polar Cutter provides computer controlled cutting, to trim all projects down to size. The 45" wide knife will cut stacks of paper 5" high x 45" wide. Printed jobs require finish cutting or cutting to smaller sheets for folding or other finishing.

Additional Bindery Services

Challenge 3 hole drill. Drills 3 holes along sheet edges or booklets to use in 3 ring binders. It drills 3 holes in up to 500 sheets at a time

Scoring/Perforating/Numbering. Some folds require scoring first to create a clean fold. Perforating can be applied to allow for easy tear-out/off. Sequential numbering for multipart business forms, gift certificates, etc.

Laminating creates a high gloss finish and durable protective coating to brochures, pocket folders -up to 60" wide.

Shrink wrapping puts the finishing touch on your project. Packed tightly and secure to protect the order for shipping or to make a nice presentation of books and cards.
